Happy New Year!
I have a couple of presents for you. First of all, Laura Jean Hocking has delivered an excellent video for the song “House of Mirrors.” I’m premiering it in this email, so you’ll be the first to see it. Click HERE and check it out. If you like it (and why wouldn’t you?!?), then give us a thumbs up on YouTube! Comments and sharing are encouraged. Lightning 100 here in Nashville was kind enough to feature the song on their show “The 615,” and I can’t thank them enough. Put in a request if you want to hear it again! If there are stations in your area that play independent pop/rock, ask them to play it! If you know music bloggers or podcasters that might be interested, send ’em a message! I could use your help getting the word out about the record. Many of you have asked me to play a show in your area, and the best way for that to happen is to get airplay there.
Let’s do it!
I said that I had a couple of presents. After you’ve watched the video a few times, head on over to chipgreene.com to experience my newly re-launched site! My talented friend Lauren Farrah laid the foundation for the new site last summer, and my own personal tech guru, Dave Beronja, brought the full site to fruition. Please check out their fine work, and let me know what you think! Thank you to everyone who has ordered vinyl. I now have CDs, t-shirts, stickers, magnets, posters and more. All of this merch will be available through the new website.
2018 was a busy year with lots of challenges and ample rewards. I put out a new record, was a featured artist on the direct to disk 10th anniversary record for Welcome to 1979, played shows at Bonnaroo, Pilgrimage, in Canada, the UK, the eastern US, had an amazing album release at the 5 Spot in East Nashville, was featured in the Historic Nashville album art exhibit “Covered,” spoke to high school music students from around the country at the Berklee City Music Summit, shot a couple of killer new music videos for songs from the new record (and more on the way!) and hosted the 4th annual Chip Greene & Friends Benefit for the Warren County Food Bank, where we raised $3,000 to feed the hungry in my hometown. I’m beyond grateful for your support. And we’re going to take it up a notch or two in 2019!!
Until we meet again… All the best!
